Jolly is great at telling stories. The problem is he just can’t seem to tell the exact same story twice. Every time he changes details left and right just to make the story more interesting each time. You probably can’t count on him as an accurate witness, but he sure knows how to deliver a punchline. This probably why he became a commercial director. As a director, Jolly is adept at handling a wide range of commercials including lifestyle, food, kids, and personal care, but really excels in telling funny stories.
Jolly’s very first TV spot won him the Creative Guild’s Ad of the Month. Throughout the years, he has won a number of awards both locally and internationally. He has won the Silver Award for Best Direction twice in the Philippine Ad Congress. His spot “Kitano” won him a silver award in the prestigious Asia Pacific Advertising Festival (AdFest).
Over the years he has directed over a hundred TVCs both locally and abroad. Outside Manila, he has shot commercials in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
